Support for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities

Parents and Caregivers: Join Us on May 18, 7-8 PM for R.I.S.E.

Parents and caregivers of individuals who experience a developmental disability are invited to join Northern Human Service’s CEO Suzanne Gaetjens-Oleson, COO (Developmental Disability), Liz Charles, and the Executive Director of Community Support Network, Ellen McCahon as we talk about upcoming changes at the Bureau of Developmental Services.

What is R.I.S.E.?

R.I.S.E. (Resilience. Inspiration. Support. Empowerment) is a monthly virtual get-together, hosted by Northern Human Services’ CEO, Suzanne Gaetjens-Oleson. It’s an opportunity to connect with other individuals who have loved ones or who are caring for and individual who experiences a developmental disability. There are several reasons to join us:

  • Meet other parents and caregivers who are on a similar life journey.
  • Share what’s on your mind, what you are struggling with,
  • Connect with our CEO.
  • Share ideas for future opportunities to connect
  • Learn more about a particular topic impacting the developmental disability community (this month we are talking about the Bureau of Developmental Disability Systems Redesign.)

How to Participate

R.I.S.E. is a virtual event held by zoom. RSVPs are encouraged, but not required to attend.
