Accountability of the Board of Directors
Northern Human Services, a 501 (c) 3 organization, is governed by a
volunteer board of directors who carry a responsibility for the agency’s operation
and its future. They are expected to ensure that their actions help to promote
the interest of the community and the overall performance of the agency.
Additionally, funding bodies require that organizations such as ours account for
how resources are used and if the use was effective in improving
the quality of life of individuals served. Audits, both program and fiscal,
attempt to address the effectiveness of programs and the agency’s fiscal operations.
